We purchased our house after the previous owner originally used this company to adjust the flooring and thank goodness they had a transfer of ownership warranty. They adjusted the flooring and completed a thorough inspection. They were very knowledgeable and friendly. Due to negligence of the previous owner, we are having them come out to add a drainage system and sump pump. This was recommended by the company previously and the previous owners ignored the issue. I am looking forward to having this issue resolved and would recommend this company for future endeavors.

From beginning to end, Foundation Systems of Michigan was amazing. The salesman was honest, informative, personable, and truly a joy to work with. Communication prior to the insulation process was timely and clear, with updates provided whenever needed. The installers were professional, respectful of our home, and did superb work. We cannot say enough positive things about this experience. They handled everything from obtaining permits to thoroughly cleaning up afterward making the entire process smooth and stress-free. We highly recommend Foundation Systems of Michigan.

We're had a really great experience and are glad to be using them. We had work done through another company a few years ago, which is not holding up well. (Our basement continues to smell musty sometimes.) We really liked the ability to schedule the appointment online and couldn't have asked for a better consultation with Keenan. We've been very pleased with the correspondences ahead of the work such as receiving the plans and permits. It's a lot of money to drop on something that isn't vital at the moment, but fully trust that these guys will get it done right and stand by their work.

We recently had our crawl space encapsulated by FSM and the results are very impressive. The crew consisting of Tim, Kody, and Sid kept us informed all along the way. These guys attended to the work with diligence and care. They were thoughtful and took care that the work area was neat as well as our home. We can't thank them enough for the professional way they executed the project. When all was complete, I inspected the crawl space and was overwhelmed with the attention to detail and how meticulous Tim, Kody, and Sid are upon me seeing the results of their labor. These guys demonstrated a pride in what they do and it shows in the way they interacted with us. If anyone ever asks me about what to do about their crawl space I will certainly recommend FSM most strenuously and certain tell them if they get the work done, to ask for Tim, Kody, and Sid.

Today I had the pleasure of meeting Kyle M. Who did an assessment of our water drainage problems. It was a great relief to have a person who was so responsive, knowledgeable, and patient, unlike others I have dealt with recently. His forthrightness, and good communication skills without being pushy was much appreciated. Our dog gave him the paws up and kisses as well, adding to the good vibes. I look forward to getting the project done feeling confident that the work will be satisfactorily.

I have used Foundation Systems of Michigan (now Groundworks) since 2014. They fixed foundation leaks back then and installed a new sump pump. Since then, I've had them out every year to service the pump and inspect the foundation. Their technicians are always excellent – professional and experienced. The technician who came out this year, Marshall, was fantastic. He had done prep work for the service call before arriving, which made the visit that much more efficient. The reasons for his recommendations were presented clearly. All in all, it was a visit that reinforced my strong positive view of Groundworks. I'm glad that I chose them over 10 years ago and will certainly continue to work with them in the future.

FSM came out today. They sent Taj, a service tech from the Traverse City office. Taj did a thorough review of the crawlspace at my cottage and found several structural issues that I needed to address. He showed me pictures of the areas of concern and explained the necessary solutions. Taj was GREAT and explained what needed to be done to correct these concerns. What a breath of fresh air, Taj was and an asset to FSM. I feel confident with the work that needs to be done after being explained & would recommend FSM.

I've been an FSM customer since 2014 when at that time, I had a triple backup sump pump installed. During this time I've definitely had a love/hate reationship with them. Sticking to my yearly service commitment, I still fell through the cracks when there was an issue that needed addressing with no answers for a solution. This year, I had the pleasure of Don B. as my service technician and he definitely showed that FSM has knowledgeable and caring technicians. He listened to my concerns and addressed them accordingly, giving clear and concise resolve to any questions/concerns I had. FSM definitely need more Don B's on their team. He's only one of two technicians over a course of 11 years that shows FSM in a positive light. Those aren't great odds considering how let down I'd felt by a couple of FSM technicians. Thank you again Don B, for putting the customer first. I appreciate your time and politeness.

I am just getting started on my journey with FSM. So far I am very impressed! I called yesterday and was able to get an appointment this morning! Super quick response!Kyle M. And Mike B. came to do the initial inspection. They were on time which I appreciate. Both very friendly and knowledgeable. I didn't know what to expect and was a little nervous that they would be "pushy" salesman. Not the case at all! In fact completely opposite.. They took the time to do a thorough inspection, understand my concerns, and answer my questions. Even answered questions when I had to "phone a friend." :)They provided a thorough explanation of what the issues are and even had me feeling like an expert at one point! Both of them were very honest and even though I just met them the entire time I was at ease talking with them.Kyle M. almost got stuck in the well closet (I shut the door on him LOL) during the inspection, but he didn't skip a beat and it made for a good laugh!Mike B. offered some additional expert advice after noticing icicles above my AC unit during inspection around the outside of my home. Extra kudos to him for helping me cover it up!!Kyle M. was very patient with me during the entire process. He provided a good explanation of my options and was supportive of whatever decision I made. He was not "pushy" at all. He also told me what to expect throughout the process.Kyle M. and Mike B. make a great team! FSM is lucky to have them as frontline staff meeting with customers. They made my day!I look forward to the next steps in my journey with FSM! I like the fact that Kyle M. and Mike B. are familiar with all staff involved with the project. We scheduled an appointment on the phone and throughout the scheduling process, the Groundworks team was very informative and communicative. Rich was my waterproofing expert and he was very friendly and professional. During the process he did an inspection and then presented the solutions while explaining the causes and the remedies for any and all issues. The cost is quite high but but there are financing options and it is a permanent waterproofing system. I recommend Groundworks to anyone looking for a waterproof home.

Foundation systems of Michigan (FSM) was not the first company I called but I'm glad I hired them anyway. The first company wouldn't even return my calls then lied about it. foundation systems of Michigan was very professional, they measured with more accurate and professional equipment. And even gave me a 5% discount on the job For a senior discount (I'm 65) my house is almost a 100 years old. It's completely out of square on just about every wall and floor and I know it was a nightmare for them to work on. When they started tearing out the old sub floors that were built on top of each other, I had not one but two different subfloors that had asbestos tile. Another company had to be called in to remove it professionally. It was very costly and a great set back. FSM offered to knock another 5% off my bill and did even though they were not obligated to. Anything after that which they did, if I wasn totally satisfied or had a question on it they would redo it again to my satisfaction if needed. They were always professional and as polite as possible. when I thought and was afraid I might need foundation peers (can be quite costly) , My inspector, Ryan , was very honest and told me not only did I NOT need the peers but also what I could do on my own to stop the heavy condensation buildup under my crawl space in that area of concern. I did what he said. It didn't cost me a dime just a little bit of my physical labor and it cleared the problem right up. i couldn't believe it. They even redid the subfloor in my little entrance/mudroom for nothing even though it wasn't on the original estimate. They said something about all the trouble that I went through with the house and wanted me to be happy with them and I am. Very happy. theymight of even lost money on this job for the set backs and trouble with everything being so far out of square but they always stuck with it to my utmost satisfaction. most companies would never have gone the extra mile like they did. I did not expect that, but that really made a difference plus them getting the job done correctly today. These guys were excellent and did an amazing job with lifting & leveling, a professional looking saw-cut to prep and then filll the cracks.

Dan the "Foreman", Riley, and Reginald were a great crew working together to get my crawl space floor system stabilized to allow me to complete the remodeling of our lake home. They were on time and completed the job a day early. Dan and I work through some of the unforseen structural issues ane saved $2000.00 by eliminating one beam. The only issue was that Tom the salesman said they can level the floors but Dan right away said FSM only stabilize floors and never try to raise floors to get them level. We solved the issue by my purchase of a 20 ton bottle jack used to raise the main beam where it had broken. The home is a 125 year old lake cottage built back when main beams were put on rocks to support the structure. Overall the pricing for the project was better than Ayres Basement Co. FSM has 18 month no interest financing that helped our decision to pick FSM.

Delivered exactly as promised. I ended up not having to use their services but, our service representative really delivered. Jake McCurdy was prompt and provided the most thorough “free” inspection service I have ever received. He did not try to sale me things unnecessarily. He presented his findings, educated me on the options and risks if I did not go with the repairs. It was a memorable experience-wish I had called them before I finished my basement. I am currently going to try to eliminate the problem at the source. If that doesn’t work- I will be calling FSM back.

The difference was amazing!! No soft spots and floors were amazingly level again!! Didn’t know how much difference this would would make and we are finally ready to have our new wood floors put down!! This was my second experience with them. The first waterproofing of an industrial building works perfectly for years now. We used to have massive floods after heavy summer rains. No more flooding! This time they did structural work to my home. They installed helical piers under a section that had no foundation. They added a beam across to support the piers and replaced rotted wood that they came across, as well. In the basement they installed waterproofing membrane and vertical steel beams along the wall. Looks good, we shall see if it stands the test of time.
