Clay came and did an exceptional and very thorough inspection of our foundation, basement, and crawl space. In fact, it was the most thorough evaluation I’ve experienced. (My husband and I have had some very bad experiences with evaluations and work done by other companies.) Clay was respectful and genuinely cared about our experience. He wasn’t pushy AT ALL. Also, he took the time to answer our endless questions. He never rushed us. We never felt that we were a burden or had a stupid question. He took the time to show us pictures and measurements to back up his analysis and recommendations. From first meeting Phil and discussing our foundation repair process and then the crew they sent to do the job, we have nothing but high praise. The job was not the simple project we thought and the crew worked through all the problems with determination to do the best job possible. Our thanks to Logan Rosas (foreman), Darius Currie, Isaac R, Aaron R, and Dave H for all their hard work. Instead of the one week they planned it extended into nearly five weeks of headaches! Foundation systems of Michigan (FSM) was not the first company I called but I'm glad I hired them anyway. The first company wouldn't even return my calls then lied about it. foundation systems of Michigan was very professional, they measured with more accurate and professional equipment. And even gave me a 5% discount on the job For a senior discount (I'm 65) my house is almost a 100 years old. It's completely out of square on just about every wall and floor and I know it was a nightmare for them to work on. When they started tearing out the old sub floors that were built on top of each other, I had not one but two different subfloors that had asbestos tile. Another company had to be called in to remove it professionally. It was very costly and a great set back. FSM offered to knock another 5% off my bill and did even though they were not obligated to. Anything after that which they did, if I wasn totally satisfied or had a question on it they would redo it again to my satisfaction if needed. They were always professional and as polite as possible. when I thought and was afraid I might need foundation peers (can be quite costly) , My inspector, Ryan , was very honest and told me not only did I NOT need the peers but also what I could do on my own to stop the heavy condensation buildup under my crawl space in that area of concern. I did what he said. It didn't cost me a dime just a little bit of my physical labor and it cleared the problem right up. i couldn't believe it. They even redid the subfloor in my little entrance/mudroom for nothing even though it wasn't on the original estimate. They said something about all the trouble that I went through with the house and wanted me to be happy with them and I am. Very happy. theymight of even lost money on this job for the set backs and trouble with everything being so far out of square but they always stuck with it to my utmost satisfaction. most companies would never have gone the extra mile like they did. Carter S. and Riley G. did a great job on our driveway! The cement slabs in the driveway had sunk and cracked—one was at least 2” or more which made driving into the garage a bumpy experience. But they got the slabs lifted, repaired the cracks, and caulked the joints between slabs. They even wrote down what caulk we should use to do the other joints if we choose to do that. No more sinking driveway! And we greatly appreciate the company’s folllow-up where they will come check their work annually for 5 years.

This was my second experience with them. The first waterproofing of an industrial building works perfectly for years now. We used to have massive floods after heavy summer rains. No more flooding! This time they did structural work to my home. They installed helical piers under a section that had no foundation. They added a beam across to support the piers and replaced rotted wood that they came across, as well. In the basement they installed waterproofing membrane and vertical steel beams along the wall. Looks good, we shall see if it stands the test of time.

I can't say enough about FSM's great customer service across the board. From the estimate detail to completion of the Michigan basement waterproofing & sump pump, the project manager and entire office and team were greatly communicative and simply awesome to work with. They did a meticulous job; huge lifesaving transformation. Install was completed during extreme cold and snow conditions. No water issues at all after the deep freeze melted. My sister recommended them, and I went with them based on the great work they did on her house, and their outstanding reputation. Thanks to Terrell, Terrell Jr. and Tyler, plus David, no longer have to worry about water issues. Top notch company and team, highly recommend. If you are in need, definitely put them on your estimate list. FSM is high quality, no nonsense.
