Justin came out for our annual inspection. He carefully inspected/tested the sump pump, batteries, connections along with the wall anchors and outside connections. Once this was completed, he reviewed all aspects of the inspection with me and alerted me to the amount of humidity in our basement. He made some suggestions of larger dehumidifiers and reminders for our next inspection. He was very thorough and professional.

After they finished our basement look like brand new, smelled great. There was no hint of moisture in the air. I look forward to using the basement for many years to come. Excellent job! Great team! Kyle explained in detail what needed to be done without trying to sell me more than what I needed. The crew that came in to do the job were courteous, respectful of my home. They came in, got to work and knew what needed to be done. If I had questions, they answered them. They were in pretty tight quarters (all 3) and they made the best of it. Thank you so much for a job well done!! I would give them a 15!!! If you need foundation, basement waterproofing, etc., FMR is the place to call.

Just have to say, in what could be one of the worst situations to find yourself, this process was made so much easier with the help of our awesome inspector Rana! She was beyond helpful, courteous, and went above and beyond to try and make everything work out for us. She was very knowledgeable, patient, and explained everything in great detail. She reviewed all our options and worked tirelessly with us to find the best possible solution. Not once did she ever make us feel that we were putting her out or wasting her time with our endless questions. Rana, you are the best!

I called FSM to repair a driveway and porch that were unlevel. Jeff Holbrook, the salesman came out and was great to work with. To sum it up, Jeff was honest, did not over sell and explained to me what I needed to do to reach a withstanding repair and cost.Nate Pierce and Noah Wick came out to do the repair work.I have to say I do not write reviews too often, but I felt I needed to this time. Nate and Noah were great guys. Called before showing up on time and explained everything about how and what they were going to do and did it. After they left my driveway was level and sealed which just looks great. I wish all repairs were done this professionally. If you've had anybody come to your house to fix something, you know what I'm talking about.Thank you, Nate, Noah and Jeff.

FSM of Traverse City and Josh G are awesome! I bought my house last June knowing the basement got wet and kind of flooded every spring. Last Summer when, (I can’t remember his name) came to do an inspection of the support poles they had installed a year or two before I bought the house he sold me on getting the whole basement water proofed. I’ll tell you one thing. If you think you need it done, but can’t afford it, you need to find a way to afford it. I didn’t realize how musty and stinky my house was before I had FSM do the work plus getting the awesome dehumidifier. They just came to do their annual inspection of everything and I only had one problem or rather question. I went up stairs to use the bathroom and when I came back downstairs Josh already had gotten me some dates for warranty work. I feel like I just doubled the value of my home by having them come in. Thank you FSM!

There were a few things that needed to be moved due to the extra job, and they helped me move the items! I would highly recommend them to my friends. He even noticed some other plumbing pipes that were loose and glued them for me. Which could have created a huge mess later on. I fully recommend this company and especially this location with the work they did. We have had a couple of rains since the repair and I no longer have to clean up water in my basement.

They were very well organized, and Frank took the time to answer all my questions, to explain precisely what was being done, and made sure that everything was cleaned up upon completion. Jalen was the supervisor of his crew. They were Deshawn, Nick S. and Reggie. Jalen was very polite and apologetic for the small crews he had and for the length of time it took to complete the job. Didn’t believe that the sump pump and inside French drain could be done in two days. That is exactly what happened. Two days and the project completed. Luis S. Gustavo G. Gerson M and Devon W. Did a great job. On time, professional, personable. Clean up, yard and basement, better as can be expected. They did such a nice job, that I will never have to see them again on this property project. 😀 If needed, I would definitely use them again. From getting the bid (Dale K), to the completed project, all questions and concerns were answered. Had water intrusion in the past, nothing recently, My project was more a preventative issue going forward. So waiting for the next big storm to test the system. ⛈️ As a final note, any call I placed to FSM was returned within, or less, then the next day. Office staff, exceptional.

Jason Schilt, came to inspect our home on 7/24, and arrived on time to inspect our home inside, outside, and our crawl space. We cannot have asked to receive a better inspector than Jason. He did not rush through the inspection but took his time to provide us with very thorough details with images to show what we were dealing with under the crawl space. Jason also helped us with financing, and went through pricing options as well as gave his honest professional opinion of what needs to be repaired/replaced.We had reached out to a different company prior to contacting FSM and when the individual arrived to our home he was only here at most 10 minutes and within this short few minutes without ever even going into our crawl space to see what the problem was he stated our structure and foundation both were bad, said he would need to dig up pavements along the house to knock the crawl space wall out then he would go in from there to repair anything he found. He said he also would need to replace the pavement going along our home after he was finished. He quoted us 20,000 to start this job and it took me numerous calls to get the estimate which arrived 3 weeks later. We did not hesitate to call FSM for a second opinion as we were not comfortable with the first guy from the independently owned company who quoted us 20,000. We are so thankful that FSM gave us Jason Schilt as our inspector because he genuinely cares about his job and the well being of his customers. We hope others are as blessed as we were to have Jason come to their home, he’s a very honest person and great guy to do business with! Thank you so much for everything Jason! The install crew operated like a well oiled machine. It was impressive to watch them work. Marco M., Mario S., Josh H., and Cortez Y. Took extra care to minimize the dust and dirt in the house. I was expecting the dust and dirt but they went out of their way to covered things that I missed! I was very impressed by that. This is not an easy job hauling concrete up and down the stairs and they did it with grace.We had a miscommunication with the sales department and they really should fix the language in the contract to be more specific on how much drywall that needs to be removed “as needed” is much too vague when verbal instructions were provided and not correct but the crew got their manager on the phone, and we came up with a work around to save the job. Honestly Marco and Dan turned it around and saved us from having to reschedule. They were very respectful, worked quickly and I would definitely recommend them for install.

Great experience. Was able to easily book an inspection for my first available date. John L. came to the house to look at our problem and expertly formulated a plan. Explained to me what was wrong and what products were best to use to fix the problem. I was able to be placed on the work calendar much sooner than I anticipated. On the service date, foreman Matt K. outlined again the plan for installation of the beam and jacks required to fix our sagging floor. He answered a couple of my questions in clear terms that I could understand. Crew members Xavier T. and Tommy D. were friendly but very professional and highly efficient in their work flow. Matt K called the morning of just to ensure correct service time but FSM uses a texting system to update the customer of everything on the service date. When they’re leaving the shop, when they’ve arrived at the property. Worked flawlessly. All of it exceeded expectations!

I've been an FSM customer since 2014 when at that time, I had a triple backup sump pump installed. During this time I've definitely had a love/hate reationship with them. Sticking to my yearly service commitment, I still fell through the cracks when there was an issue that needed addressing with no answers for a solution. This year, I had the pleasure of Don B. as my service technician and he definitely showed that FSM has knowledgeable and caring technicians. He listened to my concerns and addressed them accordingly, giving clear and concise resolve to any questions/concerns I had. FSM definitely need more Don B's on their team. He's only one of two technicians over a course of 11 years that shows FSM in a positive light. Those aren't great odds considering how let down I'd felt by a couple of FSM technicians. Thank you again Don B, for putting the customer first. I appreciate your time and politeness.

Ryan came out to do an inspection and was fantastic. He took the time to really listen to my concerns, clearly explained what to look for and walked me through whether there was an issue or not. His recommendations were thoughtful and professional. While I didn’t move forward with any work through FSM, that was strictly due to timing and budget—my initial concern thankfully turned out to be a non-issue. I genuinely recommend FSM to anyone in need. They’re informative, fair, and not pushy at all. Ryan especially stood out for his honesty and professionalism. Definitely worth checking out!

FSM came out today. They sent Taj, a service tech from the Traverse City office. Taj did a thorough review of the crawlspace at my cottage and found several structural issues that I needed to address. He showed me pictures of the areas of concern and explained the necessary solutions. Taj was GREAT and explained what needed to be done to correct these concerns. What a breath of fresh air, Taj was and an asset to FSM. I feel confident with the work that needs to be done after being explained & would recommend FSM.
