After they finished our basement look like brand new, smelled great. There was no hint of moisture in the air. I look forward to using the basement for many years to come. I have used Foundation Systems of Michigan (now Groundworks) since 2014. They fixed foundation leaks back then and installed a new sump pump. Since then, I've had them out every year to service the pump and inspect the foundation. Their technicians are always excellent – professional and experienced. The technician who came out this year, Marshall, was fantastic. He had done prep work for the service call before arriving, which made the visit that much more efficient. The reasons for his recommendations were presented clearly. All in all, it was a visit that reinforced my strong positive view of Groundworks. I'm glad that I chose them over 10 years ago and will certainly continue to work with them in the future.

The difference was amazing!! No soft spots and floors were amazingly level again!! Didn’t know how much difference this would would make and we are finally ready to have our new wood floors put down!! When we had FSM do the basement at our house in Warren, Brian Maike and his team were outstanding. I wish everyone I did business with was as polite and professional. When the city inspector came out, he told me: “I will inspect the work because it’s my job. But from experience I can tell you before I begin FSM has done everything as it should be done.” He took me through the inspection and the key points that substantiated his claim. When my daughter was recently considering the purchase of a home, her realtor pointed out FSM had waterproofed the basement. That was a contributing factor in her decision to purchase the home.

Tim Hooper, FSM Service Technician assisted with an assessment of the water system and dehumidifier that FSM installed in our home to that the humidifier is in the correct place and will have efficient ventilation before finishing our basement. Time was very informative, professional and knowledgeable and explained everything in clear and concise manner. While he was at my home for this task, he noticed the cracks on my driveway and offered several options to save the driveway and options to fix the large cracks. Just have to say, in what could be one of the worst situations to find yourself, this process was made so much easier with the help of our awesome inspector Rana! She was beyond helpful, courteous, and went above and beyond to try and make everything work out for us. She was very knowledgeable, patient, and explained everything in great detail. She reviewed all our options and worked tirelessly with us to find the best possible solution. I've been an FSM customer since 2014 when at that time, I had a triple backup sump pump installed. During this time I've definitely had a love/hate reationship with them. Sticking to my yearly service commitment, I still fell through the cracks when there was an issue that needed addressing with no answers for a solution. This year, I had the pleasure of Don B. as my service technician and he definitely showed that FSM has knowledgeable and caring technicians. He listened to my concerns and addressed them accordingly, giving clear and concise resolve to any questions/concerns I had. FSM definitely need more Don B's on their team. He's only one of two technicians over a course of 11 years that shows FSM in a positive light. Those aren't great odds considering how let down I'd felt by a couple of FSM technicians. Thank you again Don B, for putting the customer first. I appreciate your time and politeness.

FSM performed work on the outside of my basement wall in October 2024, to repair a deteriorating membrane installed by FSM three years ago. When I called to inform FSM of a water leak in my basement, in an area serviced by FSM, an inspector quickly came to my house to check the water leak. A repair crew followed very quickly to correct the original work. The repair crew (Richard, Jacob, Cameron and Adam) were very professional and polite. Their workmanship and clean up was very good. I rated FSM a 4 because the original work should have lasted longer

Kevin who first visited explained everything succinctly and was ready with a plan and way forward from day 1. He was patient as we needed weeks to finalize details and never for one moment did I feel pressured into anything. Shane came to our house and explained the entire process for foundation stabilization and what to expect when the work was done. Steve, Austin, and Q arrived about 9 am on the day the work was to be done. They explained what they would do and went right to work. They worked quickly but made sure they took the time to answer all my questions about what they were doing. They were mindful of my property and protected my grass and plants. They finished about 1:30 pm. Having completed my garage foundation stabilization, they completely cleaned up and left my yard looking just as it had when they arrived. These guys were great. The whole process from start to finish went very smoothly. Thanks guys.

I was surprise to discover a small leak in my basement. I had FSM to waterproof my basement 6 years ago. I was told by the representative at that time, that I would never have a water problem again. I contacted FSM immediately. A few days later, I met Justin {representative)who was very proficient & knowledgeable about my water problem. He explained and offer solutions. I had to remove & replace drywall, molding, repaint, buy more carpet padding plus have it dried & stretched…$$$ I was furious with the Manager from FSM, he didn't offer to pay for any of the repairs. Justin's effort in helping me made a huge difference. It took 2 visit to complete the work. This is how a company should service their customers!
