We had piers added to our 3-season room. Tyler did a great job with the excavator, minimized the mess to the yard and house even though we got over an inch of rain the day he dug it up. Very professional and pleasant to work with. He is coming back to place the concrete patio back in June after the soil settles. Likewise working with Reina who came and pumped concrete under out 3-season floor after the foundation was prepared. She communicated well and did a nice job. Top notch workmanship from Groundworks (FSM). My room is level and all the doors and windows work again. Thanks FSM

On 5/14/26 Carter S. leveled our driveway approach for both stalls. He did a wonderful job and it exceeded our expectations. We were so impressed with him and the work he did! On 5/14/25 Forman DeShawn, Co-Forman Reggie, and Austin K. installed the footings drainage with sump pump system. We were very impressed with how well they protect our belongings and how hard they worked the entire time there were here. DeShawn explained everything they were doing, and made sure the system was working before they left.

He even noticed some other plumbing pipes that were loose and glued them for me. Which could have created a huge mess later on. I fully recommend this company and especially this location with the work they did. We have had a couple of rains since the repair and I no longer have to clean up water in my basement.

FSM came out today. They sent Taj, a service tech from the Traverse City office. Taj did a thorough review of the crawlspace at my cottage and found several structural issues that I needed to address. He showed me pictures of the areas of concern and explained the necessary solutions. Taj was GREAT and explained what needed to be done to correct these concerns. What a breath of fresh air, Taj was and an asset to FSM. I feel confident with the work that needs to be done after being explained & would recommend FSM.

Nathan and Noah did an amazing job on the slab floor in our home! Nathan was professional, friendly, and has years of experience doing this. He took the time to explain everything he did as he went and exactly why he was doing it. We are new owners and the floor had apparently been slowly sinking for many years. They were able to bring it back to almost normal, which amazed us! Both Nathan and Noah were very impressive, and when they left there was absolutely no mess. I will definitely call on this company in the future if I have any need for it again.

Jacob, Steven and Issac worked miracles in the very shallow crawl space under our home. It required 5 steel beams and 15 jacks to support failing beams. They were professional, communicated well and were respectful of our space and home. Thank you for going above and beyond to do this work with the minimal space for access. They cut a small (12×6) access in the cinder block foundation to bring in the steel beams and were able to use the interior crawlspace access to bring in the rest of the materials. I was so relieved the work could be done properly without damaging the kitchen tile floor and stone countertops.

I was surprise to discover a small leak in my basement. I had FSM to waterproof my basement 6 years ago. I was told by the representative at that time, that I would never have a water problem again. I contacted FSM immediately. A few days later, I met Justin {representative)who was very proficient & knowledgeable about my water problem. He explained and offer solutions. I had to remove & replace drywall, molding, repaint, buy more carpet padding plus have it dried & stretched…$$$ I was furious with the Manager from FSM, he didn't offer to pay for any of the repairs. Justin's effort in helping me made a huge difference. It took 2 visit to complete the work. This is how a company should service their customers!

He spent a lot of time studying the issues and working with their team of experts to find a potential solution. Ultimately, they informed me that there was none. I knew going into the appointment that this was a distinct possibility and applaud them for their candor and honesty. A lesser company could easily have offered a sub- optimal proposal that would not have solved the problems and cost a lot of money.

We hired FSM to spray foam insulate our crawl space and install a dehumidifier to help with the dampness in that area. All four workers, Jalen, DeShawn, Reggie, and Jamont were very helpful, friendly and professional. The crawl space looks so much better than it did and we are happy that it is sealed off from the cold weather. I would highly recommend FSM for any of your foundation work!

Miguel kept me informed throughout the process of the progress they were making, showing me and explaining exactly what they were doing. When a change was made to the original contract, it was discussed with me, and I received a prompt call back first thing in the next morning, agreeing on a credit to my account. We scheduled an appointment on the phone and throughout the scheduling process, the Groundworks team was very informative and communicative. Rich was my waterproofing expert and he was very friendly and professional. During the process he did an inspection and then presented the solutions while explaining the causes and the remedies for any and all issues. The cost is quite high but but there are financing options and it is a permanent waterproofing system. I recommend Groundworks to anyone looking for a waterproof home.

Jason Schilt, came to inspect our home on 7/24, and arrived on time to inspect our home inside, outside, and our crawl space. We cannot have asked to receive a better inspector than Jason. He did not rush through the inspection but took his time to provide us with very thorough details with images to show what we were dealing with under the crawl space. Jason also helped us with financing, and went through pricing options as well as gave his honest professional opinion of what needs to be repaired/replaced.We had reached out to a different company prior to contacting FSM and when the individual arrived to our home he was only here at most 10 minutes and within this short few minutes without ever even going into our crawl space to see what the problem was he stated our structure and foundation both were bad, said he would need to dig up pavements along the house to knock the crawl space wall out then he would go in from there to repair anything he found. He said he also would need to replace the pavement going along our home after he was finished. He quoted us 20,000 to start this job and it took me numerous calls to get the estimate which arrived 3 weeks later. We did not hesitate to call FSM for a second opinion as we were not comfortable with the first guy from the independently owned company who quoted us 20,000. We are so thankful that FSM gave us Jason Schilt as our inspector because he genuinely cares about his job and the well being of his customers. We hope others are as blessed as we were to have Jason come to their home, he’s a very honest person and great guy to do business with! Thank you so much for everything Jason! John W. was honestly the best! He’s the inspector I needed from the start. I’m a first time homeowner so the questions were flying and a lot was learned. He’s truly passionate on what he does. Felt like I was on a field trip at my own house. Took so much time educating, making sure I fully understood the situation. Not your average tech trying to sell you what you don’t need. A++ quality and he’s definitely a number I’d put down in my books!
