Our driveway and porch presented a number of challenges after many years of water eroding the ground underneath. We are so grateful that we found Groundwork. Their method of concrete lifting was exactly what our situation required. The best part, though, was the people we dealt with throughout the process. Jessica was so easy to work with in scheduling and got us in far earlier than we thought possible. David came out to do the damage assessment and explained beautifully what to expect. The cost was actually lower than we anticipated! We were so fortunate to have Noah and Matt as the team that did the work. They knew exactly what needed to be done and how to do it! At this point we are awaiting dry weather so they can return to grind and fill in cracks. No hesitation in recommending this group.

Jason Schilt, came to inspect our home on 7/24, and arrived on time to inspect our home inside, outside, and our crawl space. We cannot have asked to receive a better inspector than Jason. He did not rush through the inspection but took his time to provide us with very thorough details with images to show what we were dealing with under the crawl space. Jason also helped us with financing, and went through pricing options as well as gave his honest professional opinion of what needs to be repaired/replaced.We had reached out to a different company prior to contacting FSM and when the individual arrived to our home he was only here at most 10 minutes and within this short few minutes without ever even going into our crawl space to see what the problem was he stated our structure and foundation both were bad, said he would need to dig up pavements along the house to knock the crawl space wall out then he would go in from there to repair anything he found. He said he also would need to replace the pavement going along our home after he was finished. He quoted us 20,000 to start this job and it took me numerous calls to get the estimate which arrived 3 weeks later. We did not hesitate to call FSM for a second opinion as we were not comfortable with the first guy from the independently owned company who quoted us 20,000. We are so thankful that FSM gave us Jason Schilt as our inspector because he genuinely cares about his job and the well being of his customers. We hope others are as blessed as we were to have Jason come to their home, he’s a very honest person and great guy to do business with! Thank you so much for everything Jason! We had Groundworks out to install a sump pump and other water proofing measures at our home. Dean gave us an initial estimate and he was thorough and very kind. Jacob was our main contact for the on site work and he was excellent. He was kind and explained every step of the process with us. He showed us how everything would work and offered his number in case we had any questions afterward. I appreciate him and his onsite crew- they all worked very hard carrying heavy buckets of concrete in and out of our house. Very thankful and appreciative of Jacob and his crew!

FSM of Traverse City and Josh G are awesome! I bought my house last June knowing the basement got wet and kind of flooded every spring. Last Summer when, (I can’t remember his name) came to do an inspection of the support poles they had installed a year or two before I bought the house he sold me on getting the whole basement water proofed. I’ll tell you one thing. If you think you need it done, but can’t afford it, you need to find a way to afford it. I didn’t realize how musty and stinky my house was before I had FSM do the work plus getting the awesome dehumidifier. They just came to do their annual inspection of everything and I only had one problem or rather question. I went up stairs to use the bathroom and when I came back downstairs Josh already had gotten me some dates for warranty work. I feel like I just doubled the value of my home by having them come in. Thank you FSM!

When we had FSM do the basement at our house in Warren, Brian Maike and his team were outstanding. I wish everyone I did business with was as polite and professional. When the city inspector came out, he told me: “I will inspect the work because it’s my job. But from experience I can tell you before I begin FSM has done everything as it should be done.” He took me through the inspection and the key points that substantiated his claim. When my daughter was recently considering the purchase of a home, her realtor pointed out FSM had waterproofed the basement. That was a contributing factor in her decision to purchase the home.
