Our system is placed on top of the footing, avoiding the “mud zone” to maintain a clear, obstruction-free design. A 3/8” wall flange allows any water from the walls to flow seamlessly into the BasementGutter™ system. 

While the BasementGutter™ system does much of the heavy lifting, it’s part of a whole-home waterproofing strategy, to ensure a dry and healthy living environment.

• Remove 6-12 inches of concrete around the interior perimeter.  
• Drill weep holes in the bottom courses of concrete block walls for water movement.  
• Place BasementGutter™ in the trench and backfill with stone.  
• Set a vapor barrier on top.  
• Connect the drainage channels to the sump pump.  
• Pour cement to replace the concrete floor.  

Our solution may also involve a wall vapor barrier, a dehumidifier, and an anti-freeze exterior sump pump discharge line attachment.
