Clay came and did an exceptional and very thorough inspection of our foundation, basement, and crawl space. In fact, it was the most thorough evaluation I’ve experienced. (My husband and I have had some very bad experiences with evaluations and work done by other companies.) Clay was respectful and genuinely cared about our experience. He wasn’t pushy AT ALL. Also, he took the time to answer our endless questions. He never rushed us. We never felt that we were a burden or had a stupid question. He took the time to show us pictures and measurements to back up his analysis and recommendations. If you have foundation, basement, or crawl space concerns, contact Foundation Systems of Michigan and ask for our “house doctor” Clay!

We had piers added to our 3-season room. Tyler did a great job with the excavator, minimized the mess to the yard and house even though we got over an inch of rain the day he dug it up. Very professional and pleasant to work with. He is coming back to place the concrete patio back in June after the soil settles. Likewise working with Reina who came and pumped concrete under out 3-season floor after the foundation was prepared. She communicated well and did a nice job. Top notch workmanship from Groundworks (FSM). My room is level and all the doors and windows work again. Thanks FSM

Tom came to our house to look at a failing retaining wall. He was prompt, friendly and courteous. He spent a lot of time studying the issues and working with their team of experts to find a potential solution. Ultimately, they informed me that there was none. I knew going into the appointment that this was a distinct possibility and applaud them for their candor and honesty. A lesser company could easily have offered a sub- optimal proposal that would not have solved the problems and cost a lot of money.

Dan the "Foreman", Riley, and Reginald were a great crew working together to get my crawl space floor system stabilized to allow me to complete the remodeling of our lake home. They were on time and completed the job a day early. Dan and I work through some of the unforseen structural issues ane saved $2000.00 by eliminating one beam. The only issue was that Tom the salesman said they can level the floors but Dan right away said FSM only stabilize floors and never try to raise floors to get them level. We solved the issue by my purchase of a 20 ton bottle jack used to raise the main beam where it had broken. The home is a 125 year old lake cottage built back when main beams were put on rocks to support the structure. Overall the pricing for the project was better than Ayres Basement Co. FSM has 18 month no interest financing that helped our decision to pick FSM.

He was very personable, thorough, and took the time to walk me through everything he was checking so I understood the condition of the system. He answered all of my questions clearly and pointed out a few things to keep an eye on in the future. I really appreciated his honesty and the fact that he focused on what actually needed attention right now rather than trying to upsell anything. Excellent service and a very professional experience. We hired FSM Grand Rapids to spray foam insulate our crawl space and install a dehumidifier to help with the dampness in that area. All four workers, Jalen, DeShawn, Reggie, and Jamont were very helpful, friendly and professional. The crawl space looks so much better than it did and we are happy that it is sealed off from the cold weather. I would highly recommend FSM Grand Rapids for any of your foundation work!
