They did a great job of keeping us informed in different steps of the job process and did a nice job of clean up when they were done. I would recommend them to anyone seeking their type of skills. Dan just did my yearly inspection and he was very professional, prompt and thoughtful! He called to tell me when he would arrive, he put on shoe covers without me asking and quickly got to work. He walked around the outside of my house and pointed out a problem with my porch, no other service technician has ever walked around the outside of my home. I hope Dan continues to be the guy that does my inspection. Great experience!

Cynthia Avetta is the Permits Administrator at Groundworks in Livonia and her work ethic and commitment to customers service are truly amazing. The last line of her Groundworks signature block says everything you need to know about her: “Less Than Exceptional Is Not Acceptable.” There are a lot of moving parts to a foundation repair involving work crews, plumbers and government inspectors coming and going with varying degrees of commitment to customer service. Although I was new to all of this, Cynthia’s clear instructions, patience, and willingness to follow up on my questions demonstrated her commitment that all Groundworks employees should emulate. Would recommend- Worked out options to fit our needs and budget and we appreciated the patience with all our questions. The install was relatively painless (we opted to do the prep work to remove stud walls) and the workers were thoughtful and respectful. They were efficient, quick, and the project looks fantastic. We really appreciated their positive attitudes and thorough clean up.

The install crew operated like a well oiled machine. It was impressive to watch them work. Marco M., Mario S., Josh H., and Cortez Y. Took extra care to minimize the dust and dirt in the house. I was expecting the dust and dirt but they went out of their way to covered things that I missed! I was very impressed by that. This is not an easy job hauling concrete up and down the stairs and they did it with grace.We had a miscommunication with the sales department and they really should fix the language in the contract to be more specific on how much drywall that needs to be removed “as needed” is much too vague when verbal instructions were provided and not correct but the crew got their manager on the phone, and we came up with a work around to save the job. Honestly Marco and Dan turned it around and saved us from having to reschedule. They were very respectful, worked quickly and I would definitely recommend them for install.

FSM did a wall stabilization project in my basement today. Jonah H., Logan D. and Bryant D. were the FSM crew that did the work. They installed galvanized steel braces. They did all the work in a few hours, protected the items in my basement and cleaned up afterwards. They did a great job! Thanks!

Jakob and his team (Alex, Nicholas and Junior) were prompt, efficient, and professional in their installation of a basement foundation drain in my home yesterday. Jakob was very helpful and responsive to my questions throughout the day and thoroughly explained operation of the new drainage system, etc. He's also an outstanding foreman, keeping his team working seamlessly and in harmony. This team was obviously very experienced! I also appreciated the very high quality of materials and workmanship. And when the crew left, EVERYTHING was cleaned up very well. This was my second experience with FSM. BOTH EXPERIENCES WERE OUTSTANDING!! John came out to our home in Grand Rapids to assess a crack in our basement and discuss moisture solutions. He was very knowledgeable and I have so much peace of mind after talking to him! He was very clear about presenting us our options and discussing our next steps, even suggesting a few simple solutions above and beyond what we initially called Groundworks to assess. If we need future foundation work done, this’ll be the first company we call.

I really was impressed by the professionalism of Juan, Diego and Jeff., and even John who did our inspection. My crawl space is ONLY two blocks. Very tight fit. Average guy can NOT fit under there. House was built in 1954. Needless to say I have NEVER been under there and at 73 I NEVER will now. The boys did a hell of a job and clean. My gosh, I would even do that good. They even fixed one of our furnace pipes that some how came apart. They seem to have a good time together also. The service contract was WELL worth the money. Needless to say, I highly recommend FSM and if you get a chance ask for Jeff and Juan and Diego. AWESOME JOB BOYS/ Leonard Mueller
