Without mentioning names, the 'other' company's sump system was incorrectly installed, causing sand to fill the bucket and the drain pipes. Not only did the basement flood, it created a bow on that east wall, weakening an existing bow. No response at all from 'them' to my pleas.So I called FSM – immediate response! Greg Q assessed the situation and stood by me as we resolved things, in stages of 3 visits. Sump bucket is now properly installed, drain system improved upon, basement floor trenches and finger drains to respond to hydrostatic pressure, wall anchors installed where needed. Each repair session consisted of a team of no-nonsense, in-sync, yet very approachable and very respectful hard workers. The house was spotless when they left, inside and out. These folks are serious problem solvers. And just like that, this house finally has a no-nonsense, in-sync dry basement and a solid foundation. Thank you FSM – Team Foreman and Team, and the very responsive and supportive Office, and most definitely, Thank you Greg Q.

I met Brian Maike in August when he came to talk to me about the Aquastop Perimeter Drain System. A friend had already had 3 estimates on her basement and when Brian gave me the cost, it was a little lower and what sold me is the lifetime warranty on the home. David and his crew came out early on a Monday (Dom & Matt) and did a fantastic job making sure the dust from removal of the cement was taken care of and cleaned up afterwards. I noticed the musty smell which was causing mold was taken care of. After 2 inspections by my city, they returned on a Friday to cement the trench. (Eric instead of Matt this time.). They did a great job again carrying all the buckets of cement and again a great clean up job. I’ve already passed along their info because of the great job done by all 5 of them. Brian was very helpful with answering all my questions before, during and at the end of the job.

The crew that came in to do the job were courteous, respectful of my home. They came in, got to work and knew what needed to be done. If I had questions, they answered them. From our first encounter with FSM, we found them to be very knowledgeable, professional, considerate, and concerned. Erik Randall and Caleb Denmark have been outstanding. They answered all my questions completely helping me to understand what was causing my problems and how best to fix them. I had water issues in the crawlspace as well as foundation problems. They sent a crew within 24 hours to address the water issue in the crawlspace. The entire crew were remarkable. They were all so friendly and worked quickly to encapsulate my crawl space, install a new sump pump system and dehumidifier and within hours my water problem was solved. They cleaned everything up so well you would never know that they had been here. I can't say enough about Erik Randall. I have called him or texted him numerous times with questions and he is right on top of everything. He responds quickly and really knows this business. I'm very happy with this company. I would highly recommend them! We just contracted them to handle our foundation issue and I am secure that it will be handled quickly, professionally and completely. I am so happy that I chose FSM.

We hired FSM to level our sidewalk/walkway sections. Jayden B and Carter S arrived promptly this morning and did an excellent job! They met with us to discuss our concerns and needs so they could be sure the completed job met our expectations. We were given explanations throughout the process so that we understood what they were accomplishing. They invited us to watch the work and take photos or videos if we wanted. These guys really understand the work they are doing and accomplish their task with respect for the property. They had great attention to detail and did their work effectively and efficiently. We will need to have our driveway leveled next year and will not only call FSM, but will request Jayden and Carter do the work.

Joshua Gaddy came to fix where the pipe coming out of the house was cut off and not taken care of properly to keep water from coming back in the house and letting the sump pump run every 15 seconds. Temporary fix and said someone would be back to fix it in the spring when the ground wasn't frozen. Your company needs something better than heat tapes for the pipe not freezing, after all we live in Michigan. Cam was told by someone to cut it off but not what to do so water wouldn't gush out on the ground right next to my house with no place to go. Joshua did the best he could for now. I wasn't happy with the problem, being I spent so much to keep water out and ruining my foundation. The job was done nicely until the pipe froze.

FSM came out today. They sent Taj, a service tech from the Traverse City office. Taj did a thorough review of the crawlspace at my cottage and found several structural issues that I needed to address. He showed me pictures of the areas of concern and explained the necessary solutions. Taj was GREAT and explained what needed to be done to correct these concerns. What a breath of fresh air, Taj was and an asset to FSM. I feel confident with the work that needs to be done after being explained & would recommend FSM.

I know that the workers compensation is based on a five star rating however I did not need to keep being asked about whether they earned a five star rating. Jacob W., Alex L., and Denzel K. water proofed the back half of our basement. They were very courteous and provided us with updates frequently. I particularly appreciated that they took great care to help us prevent our house cat from getting out by always closing doors behind them (which is a pain with so many trips in/out of the house). They completed a labor intensive job with a lot of care for our home. We would recommend them to anyone else needing this service!

They did skilled work and cleaned up after themselves when they were done. Matt's communication with us and his crew was top-notch. He called along the way to give us their arrival time. He explained to his crew what they needed to do and everything went as explained. His communication with us was clear and helpful. Jason R and Jordan B. did a great job today. They were very thorough and offered to extend my warranty for five years from today since I had problems with their quality of work originally. I did not expect that, but that really made a difference plus them getting the job done correctly today. These guys were excellent and did an amazing job with lifting & leveling, a professional looking saw-cut to prep and then filll the cracks.

Jakob was very helpful and responsive to my questions throughout the day and thoroughly explained operation of the new drainage system, etc. He's also an outstanding foreman, keeping his team working seamlessly and in harmony. This team was obviously very experienced! I also appreciated the very high quality of materials and workmanship. And when the crew left, EVERYTHING was cleaned up very well. This was my second experience with FSM. BOTH EXPERIENCES WERE OUTSTANDING!! Tim Hooper, FSM Service Technician assisted with an assessment of the water system and dehumidifier that FSM installed in our home to that the humidifier is in the correct place and will have efficient ventilation before finishing our basement. Time was very informative, professional and knowledgeable and explained everything in clear and concise manner. While he was at my home for this task, he noticed the cracks on my driveway and offered several options to save the driveway and options to fix the large cracks. We hope that we can do this task in the spring. I give Time a 5 stars for his efficiency and excellent customer service. Thank you Tim!
