History
Spouses Bob and Vicki Genord started Foundation Systems of Michigan out of their home when they noticed a gap in the service being provided in the area. They focused on educating the customer on the issues with their home and the methods for repair. In 2020, FSM partnered with Groundworks, the nation’s leading and fastest-growing foundation and water management solutions company and immediately expanded their service coverage. FSM is a a BBB accredited business with an A+ rating and was honored by the Livonia-Westland Chamber as Outstanding Business of the Year in 2024. Their expertise in the industry has helped them repair thousands of homes across the state.

Groundworks, did an excellent job for us, & Will IRVINE was very responsive, in finding us, service Technician, Tim Hooper to come out quickly to help us, & inatall a new sump pump when we had ground water in our lower level. Our old sump pump gave out, & we needed help ASAP! THEY WERE VERY QUICK TO RESPOND! We will always recommend this company!

Tim H. did a thorough job servicing the sump system and dehumidifier in our crawlspace. He also inspected the area in the crawlspace underneath where I noticed some differences in the floor. He found a couple issues and gave me a list of suggestions and prices if I decided to repair. Even took the time to say Hi to one of my anxious dogs which goes a long way with her socialization. Great experience. Was able to easily book an inspection for my first available date. John L. came to the house to look at our problem and expertly formulated a plan. Explained to me what was wrong and what products were best to use to fix the problem. I was able to be placed on the work calendar much sooner than I anticipated. On the service date, foreman Matt K. outlined again the plan for installation of the beam and jacks required to fix our sagging floor. He answered a couple of my questions in clear terms that I could understand. Crew members Xavier T. and Tommy D. were friendly but very professional and highly efficient in their work flow. Matt K called the morning of just to ensure correct service time but FSM uses a texting system to update the customer of everything on the service date. When they’re leaving the shop, when they’ve arrived at the property. Worked flawlessly. All of it exceeded expectations!
