General Question: We were looking to purchase a house in Berkley MI, no longer available. Small house 24 ft X 24 ft, built in 1928, built on crawl space. Obvious foundation issues, tilting floors. Is it possible to convert a crawl space like that to a full modern basement (with proper drainage) without tearing down the house? If so what's the ball park cost? I know it's going to vary based on conditions, but just wondering if possible to consider to add value to a future potential property. Are we talking 10s of thousands or 100s of thousands? Tim

Dexter-Pinckney in Dexter
We have a space off the basement that is under our front porch that was left open when the house was built because someone thought it would be a good root cellar. It is approximately 125 sqft with a height of 8 ft. It has a dirt floor. The ceiling is metal. The walls are cement blocks. It drips water and there is some mold. We would like it insulated similar to a crawl space so that there are no longer moisture concerns. We would like an estimate for what it would take to fix. I can also send pictures versus having someone come out if desired.

Parkridge Drive in Dexter
A few cracks in the foundation, one that looks to be through to the outside.

E Stoney Field Dr in Dexter
We have water on a wall in the basement, just below where the sewer drain goes out to the septic tank. A sump pump, which pumps out to a french drain, is nearby. Looking at the outside, there appears to be a depression at the foundation, so I'm thinking that maybe what I'm seeing is seeping in from the outside. I've contacted a plumber, but I have a feeling that this may not be a plumber issue.

Inverness Street in Dexter
Occasional moisture in basement, seems like when hard rain comes from an unusual direction. Exterior hose leak seems to find its way in too. City line backed up once, and a lot of water backed up.

The building is on a foundation, when it rains heavy water comes thru ??? and floods the floor. We think it might be coming true the hole on the side of the building thru the A/C lines. We would like someone to come out and look at the issue.

I would like an estimate for a whole house generator. However, I would need financing options preferably a "same as cash" option. Let me know what is possible. I am a current customer of FSM - I had a large dehumidifier (which you still maintain) and sealed sump pit installed 2.5 years ago. Thank you!
